honestly, schools should have an entire class to teach kids that bullying is not okay. the trauma caused by bullying can last a lifetime, affecting mental health, confidence, relationships, and more

It's a huge problem, and getting even worse, it seems.
But they can't teach empathy in class, in my opinion.
It's situation-based: teachers and other school staff must react quickly when/if something happens and teach kids THERE AND THEN about the consequences of bullying. At early age.
When the bullier (is that the word?) feel ashamed at early age, they may understand it's not cool.
Also, I'm teaching my kids at home how to react when bullied or when they see others being bullied.
