gifs should work but videos are expensive to support mate π
We should consider to add some of the common video providers like YouTube Vimeo etc. to embed it from a url like an OG Image.

So the Meta data for the embeds are working perfectly locally, I haven't had time to investigate why on production they are not being parsed as an oEmbed and defaulting to a URL. If you had some time to look into it, it would be really helpful.
I'm not sure if the vimeo links work, I haven't seen anyone test one.

Yeah, so it look like Vimeo links are being parsed and embedded correctly, but youtube is not.
And then youtube is just the link, no preview.
