Hey Pinkies! 🌟 I've been trying to find work building custom SaaS web apps (of course in Laravel) for businesses, but I’m struggling to find people who need them. Would you consider building basic WordPress sites to meet businesses that might have further needs, like a custom SaaS? 🤔

I’m not great at design and would much rather be working in Laravel implementing custom business logic than just using templates for basic WP websites.

It’s just an idea! What do you think? 💭

My team started building websites for customers using WordPress 10 years ago. We quickly shifted to Laravel when we realized all the other agencies were stuck with their WordPress stack once a customer was asking for something slightly more complicated. Now we're building websites and apps exclusively using Laravel for clients who realized their needs go beyond what WP can offer.

And you know what?

There are a lot of them out there. Most modern websites are becoming applicative in some way anyway and could benefit from a customized approach. However, it's true that most customers are not yet aware that they'll need something more flexible if they intend to evolve or add specific features in the future. You need to explain it before sending a quote. It's just a matter of positionning your offer where regular competitors can't reach you.
