What’s the story behind some people say, that you got fired?
Ah, classic. It's a joke that started when I messed up once. Taylor jokingly fired me and it's been a running joke that whenever something goes wrong, I get fired.

What has been your favorite Laravel Forge feature to work on?
It's between the Laravel panel and Database backups for me. The new panel made Laravel really a first-party integration and allows us to add additional features as the framework and ecosystem grows. Database backups are technically a very cool integration though.

Any book recommendations for a back-end developer?
Honestly, I've not read a great deal of programming books. For me, there is more value in video courses such as Laracasts.

How to join on a big project like Laravel? Or grab a remote job with Laravel? I have 4 years of experience in Laravel.
Anyone can contribute to Laravel. One starting point is the docs. With the framework, create PRs with a clear description of the problem you have and the solution. Keep PRs small and follow existing standards.
For remote jobs using Laravel, larajobs.com

What does your code editor setup look like?
I mainly use PHP Storm (although I'll use Sublime Text 4 for quick edits). JetBrains Mono with 2.2 line height, giving code plenty of space. I use the GitHub Light color scheme.
