Thank you for documenting this distinction between the two methods, I've always had a hard time explaining it to my team and sometimes even to myself, it's much clearer now on what to choose in which situation!

Thanks Richard! It’s not a clean cut distinction but it always helps me think. “Am I sending this to a logged in user?” Then almost always a notification.
